Clinging

A Druze woman on my left, a Muslim woman on my right, and a Christian woman in front of me. All three Jordanians huddled around my small heater on a cold day.

Each sharing their struggle with bareness offering the others recipes and doctor names...

Looking at each and knowing the extent of other problems in their life, I'm at a loss to know how to help, advice, or comfort.

...So, I drifted off to sleep.

If I am Jacob, this is me done with the wrestling and just clinging to You, God, on behalf of blessings for others when I am helpless to help.

You can save, and you can redeem every lost year when our struggles got us nowhere.
